If you have a Company Status Online update being triggered for a Consumer Connect Loan prior to packages going out (eConsent, Doc Request or eDisclosure) to the borrower, this email template with the Authorization Code included is sent so that the borrower can authenticate into and or create their Consumer Connect Account. This would allow the borrower to create the ECC account and tie it to the loan file. This Authorization Code is randomly created and once created is not changeable for that loan file. If you do not want the AuthCode to be auto generated, you need to determine which Company Status Online update is being triggered prior to the packages being sent out and disable it.
The auth code (when generated by the system) will be sent to the assigned LO so that they can provide it to the borrower or 3rd party agent.
Status Online settings can be found in Encompass Settings – Additional Settings – Company Status Online. If there are any Status Online recipients other than the borrowers (who may already have a set auth code) they would also be required to enter an auth code to view the loan (including Status Online messages). This may include a borrower’s attorney or other 3rd parties.
